MY REVIEW:

I just recently reviewed 2 other books that Sarah has done for teens she did not disappoint again with this book. Sarah does am amazing job with the images throughout this book ,the devotions that go along with each part because teens need to be reminded that God’s word will help them through even the busiest days of their life.

For example my 13 year old daughter loves to curl up underneath her boy gets and she likes to be in a quiet area when she reads her devotions, bible handy along with her bible journal she highly enjoys these devotions. Please enjoy these photos of some of her favorites in this book.

I would rate this book a 41/2 stars out of 5. I would reccomend all of the Jesus Calling books for teens for those children or grandchindren you love so much.

I received this material free in exchange for my honest opinion of this material regardless good or badd thank you book look bloggers for this opportunity.

Review: I’m Possible

I’m PossibleJumping into Fear and Discovering a Life of Purpose

By Jeremy Cowart
Published by Thomas Nelson

Book Description

Internationally known photographer and philanthropist Jeremy Cowart uses snapshots of his own story to inspire readers with the message that all things are possible when we actively engage our God-given purpose to change the world.

Recognized as “the most influential photographer on the Internet,” Jeremy Cowart is known as a photographer, hotelier, fund-raiser, teacher, artist, world uniter, lover of life, and man of adventure. What fans don’t always know is that Jeremy started out as a failure.

Growing up, Jeremy’s life was defined by the words I can’t do it. Thankfully, Jeremy’s parents reprogrammed his mind with a single sentence: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. That simple truth propelled Jeremy to achieve greatness in many forms, including

running photo shoots with A-list clients, such as Sting, the Kardashians, President Obama, the Pope, and many more,
launching the Help-Portrait movement to invest dignity and value in people from underserved communities and who were victims of tragedy, and
launching the Purpose Hotel as a for-profit hotel chain designed to fuel the work of not-for-profit organizations.

I’m Possible is an extension of Jeremy’s belief that greatness must serve a greater purpose. It’s a book that will inspire readers with the message that all things are possible when we actively engage our God-given purpose to change the world.

My Review:

I’m possible is a very good book, if you suffer from depression and you feel like your life means nothing I highly recommend this book. Jeremy was not a very well known person until he became the most influential photographer on the Internet ,and that was around 2014. Since then Jeremy has gone on to accomplish a lot of his dreams and he also helps with a few ministries.

Growing up Jeremy felt very out of place like he was a big time failure academically speaking he was not very good, he constantly would bring home what a lot of kids would call really bad grades you know c’s d’s and f’s, He would tell his parents he couldn’t do it and he actually believed he couldn’t do anything it’s not that he was lazy he just seriously thought that he was not capable of doing something ,but they would always tell him one thing and that thing was Jeremy” you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.”

So when Jeremy started showing his artwork to his parents and they got to see how good he was at art they pushed him and encouraged him to pursue his dream ,they believed in him and constantly encouraged him to help give him a higher selfesteem.

That’s when Jeremy finally was taking his art work and turning it in and finally was noticed and was ranked as the most Influential photographer of the Internet.

Jeremy’s story of how he struggled his whole life and dug his way up out of the darkness and realize that God’s words applied in scripture to our lives can actually transform yourself to be a better person build yourself up and make a difference in the world.

If you ask me Jeremy is now leaving a legacy behind him for his Family showing how God worked in his life through scripture and hopefully he’ll inspire others to do the same.

I also feel that this book is for anybody , especially with a creativity side and are gifted those that want to impact the world so that God can help them leave a legacy behind for their loved ones , this book is for you . I loved reading this book so much that I had my 13 year old read it and she loves it too. I’d rate this material 41/2 stars.

I received this material free and exchange for my honest opinion no matter of good or bad.

My Review:

I love Sarah Young’s books ,again I have reviewed a few others of her and I find them refreshing. Jesus Calling for teens 50 devotions for a Thankful Heart has a total of 125 pages full colored art work through out this little book . My 10 year old daughter recently got saved and I can’t wait to gift this book to her for Ester this year.. When I saw this I had to review it because I just reviewed one for my oldest daughter , and I think my youngest will love this book..Each Devotion is short but most kids/ tweens/teens can’t keep their focus very long and if they have ADD or ADHD you can forget about them reading a full chapter without getting antsy . Each Devotion is one page and a beautiful scripture is one page with very nice art work on the background. I found this book easy to read and your child could do a devotion before bedtime, before school, or really any time of the day. Would I recommend this book for Teens? YES, matter of fact kids age 10 – up this book would be great for! I have added just a sneak peek for you of whats inside, thank you for reading my review and I hope it will help you with your decision of weather to buy this or not.

The Book of Signs 31 Undeniable Prophecies of the Apocalypse

By Dr. David Jeremiah
Published by Thomas Nelson

Average Blogger Rating 5 stars

Book Description
“The end times.” “The apocalypse.” “The day of judgment.” Terms such as these are both fascinating and frightening for any student of God’s Word. They point to key questions people have wrestled with for centuries, including:
What does the Bible tell us about the future? How much can we understand about biblical prophecy and its application in our lives? What signs and signals will precede the end of everything as we know it? Which of those signs and signals have already come to pass, which are we experiencing now, and which are still to come?
In this landmark collection, bestselling author Dr. David Jeremiah offers answers to these questions and much more. Drawing from decades of experience as one of the world’s most-respected Bible teachers, Dr. Jeremiah has updated content from previously published works in additional to writing new material on a wide variety of subjects.
The result is a truly epic and authoritative guide to biblical prophecy—a must-have resource for Christians seeking to navigate the uncertainties of the present and embrace God’s promises for the future.

My Review:

I love Dr. Jeremiah, matter of fact My husband and I watch him on tv a lot. I have just about all of his books, and have watched just about every sermon, so when I tell you if your familiar with Dr. Jeremiah you will notice in this book there are a lot of what I call Deja Vu , some of his material in this book is from sermons and some of his other books.
With that aside I LOVE digging deep into Bible so I just had to dig into this book about Signs. I found the first few chapters to be what I would call boring but the book picks up and give you rich information that Dr. Jeremiah is well known for. Dr. Jeremiah being a Liberal ,has a way with words that makes it wonderful for all Christians, and non christian to understand and even get drawn into his added stories, and his accurate explanations of events that are happening today and to come.

Dr. Jeremiah did a very good job of laying out the rapture in this book with 31 different subjects divided into 5 different parts.
The five parts that he divided into are: International Signs, 2nd part is Cultural Signs, 3rd part is Heavenly Signs,4th part is Tribulation Signs, and the 5th part is the End Signs. If your new to his books , you will get very much from all the information you read. If your familiar, again you will read here and there Information from some of his other books, or have the Deja Vu moment from maybe a Sermon he has done in the past. With all that being said I LOVE this book as much as his others, it is easy to read and to understand. I have to say my highlighter got a lot of use!

Thank you Booklookblogger for the opportunity to review this material, I did not get paid to write my one honest opinion no mater bad or good.

My Review:

Again I LOVE John Maxwell’s bibles, I had the pleasure of reviewing the NKJV and I am not a big fan of NKJV so when I saw this one, an NIV I had to snag it! I would like to let you know this is not a study bible, this is a leadership Bible, two different things. My favorite parts of this Bible are the notes from John, and all the added notes he felt you should have. The lettering is perfect , not to small, not to big, and this bible is not to big like the study bibles are.

There are Leader Highlights added through that are nice, table of weight and measures, Leadership laws,Leadership Qualities, Leadership Issues, Profile In Leadership, Winning With People, 25 ways to win with people, Talent is never enough, The 360 Degree Leader,High road leadership,Six strategies for Extraordinary Leadership, Shake Salk and Shine Light,The Difference Maker,Ethics 101, Thinking for a change, Leadership Lesson from the Nativity,Today Matters, Spiritual Growth Rule of 5,Three laws of growth, Live like someone valued by god,Working Alongside a miracle-working god, and Learning to listen to god.

All those are at the end of this bible, I LOVED reading all those, even though I am not a leader at church, I truly love this bible, I am one who does not comprehend what they read so they read it over and over and This bible I could read and highlight and add sticky notes to and I will use this bible to it’s full potential. So do I recommend this bible YES I DO, Amazon has different formats, you can get hard back for roughly 32.00, Kindle load for 15.00, and there are used ! Enjoy a few pictures.

Thank you booklookbloggers for the opportunity to review this material, I did not receive money for my review, I post my honest opinions no matter good or bad .

Review of ” Draw AlphaBeasts

Draw Alphabeasts: 130+ Monsters, Aliens and Robots from Letters and Numbers by Steve Harpster is a book I requested from NetGalley and the review is voluntary. Wow, it is a fun and informative kids book to draw robots, monster, strange animals, and more starting with a letter or number. All of it is step-by-step instructions/guide. Bright colored monsters guide the reader through the book! Cute fun! I think my grandkids will love this! Certainly on my list to pick up!

My Personal Review

My daughters are 13 and 10 and they LOVE to draw as do I so when I saw this I had to try it out. I usually by how to draw books at thrift stores so gave this one shot . I love that not only are there letters, there are numbers you can draw too. For example the number 8 is a ” Slurg” Looks like a sea monster with Octopus arms and the head of a Squid, and antennas like a butterfly lol. Ok since my name starts with a V I had to try this little guy out lol… his name was ” Vic” and it’s a 4 armed robot with one eye lol. Lower case and upper case have drawings. My daughters BOTH loved ” Horton” lol The letter H makes a Goat lol…. he’s pretty cool actually. Another V critter ” Vurg” is pretty cool, not sure what to compare him to lol…. I have pictures of these few I am adding so you can Visualize them lol. So in all a very fun book to grab and draw in your spare time, I also think this would be cool for Kindergartners. . One picture below shows you V AND W drawings lol.

Review of ” Keep Showing Up”

Throughout Keep Showing Up, Karen includes ideas to implement in your marriage right now, such as powerful statements to speak to your spouse, date-night-on-a-shoestring suggestions, and discussion starters. Discover how your “incompatibility” can become the strength of your marital team in this real-life guide to both living with and loving your spouse–differences and all.

My Personal Review

Wow where to start, I love this book so much because of how it is written. Karen Ehman did a fantastic job helping people see into their marriage with clear vision , no rose colored glasses here! I am on page 51 and decided to review what I have read thus this far because I need to start at page 1 again , but this time with highlighters and a note pad so I can take notes. I LOVE the “Love Attracts, love Attacks” analogy because men and women are created VERY differently, the falling out of love, the need to cheat, and hurtful words, or even the words that are not being spoken can Attack you! One of my favorite parts thus far would be the way she described her and her husband in the car together , or how she read into how he was thinking but really he was thinking about WAY different things than she thought he was, I am guilty of that for sure and I bet the majority of us lady’s do that.

Karen is very to the point but with some humor to keep you wanting to read more, I love how she talks about her own struggles in her marriage , and the pains she has experienced because I think this book has something in it for every lady out there! I love how she helps you see what god wants your marriage to be like, stop fighting over money, parenting, come together as one and be on the same page. that doesn’t mean you have to always agree on everything , just means you compromise and work together. Like I have herd over and over , ” A couple that prays together stay’s together”, not sure if that is 100% true but I like the thought of that. So with 51 pages read and 223 pages total in this book I can’t wait to dig way deeper into this with my highlighters, notebook, and prayers along the way. Please give this book a chance, I want to order a few for friends that is how much I love it so far!

Review of “Vertical Marriage”

Book Description
He never saw it coming. It was the night of Dave and Ann’s tenth wedding anniversary and if asked how their marriage was doing, Dave would have said a 9.8 out of 10 and he even guaranteed Ann would say the same. But instead of giving a celebratory kiss, Ann whispered, “I’ve lost my feelings for you.”
Divorce seemed inevitable. But starting that night, God began to reveal to Dave and Ann the most overlooked secret of getting the marriage we are looking for: the horizontal marriage relationship just doesn’t work until the vertical relationship with Christ is first.
As founders of a multi-campus church and marriage coaches with 30 years of experience, Dave and Ann share the hard-earned but easy-to-apply biblical principles that ensure a strong marriage. Written in a funny and highly relatable dialogue between both husband and wife, Vertical Marriage will guide you toward building a vibrant relationship at every level including communication, conflict, intimacy, and romance—though Dave is still figuring that last one out. Through their unique perspectives, they share an intimate, sometimes hilarious and at times deeply poignant narrative of one couple’s journey to reconnecting with God and discovering the joy and power of a vertical marriage.
For anyone who is married, preparing for marriage, or desperate to save a relationship teetering on the edge of disaster, Dave and Ann offer hope and strategies that really work. Vertical Marriage will give you the insight, applications, and inspiration to reconnect with God together and to transform your marriage to everything you hoped it would be.

My personal review of this material

Not sure about you but my marriage has been far from roses and sunshine , major ups and downs but at the end of the day we are still married and still working on how we should be as a married couple 16 years later.

Dave and Ann did a fantastic job on giving married couples a look into what god wants your marriage to look like, but it take work and lots of it to get to where you want your marriage to be. There are FOUR parts to this book, ” Going Vertical”, “Conflict and Communication”, Intimacy”, and Living Vertical”. My favorites were Part 2 and Part 3 because I got a load of light bulbs going off in my head while reading and will re read this whole book again but with highlighters! This book had me crying, laughing, and then praying while I read certain things. Dave and Ann made this book enjoyable and a hard to put down book once you start reading it. I started reading about 6 am and finished this book about 9 or 10 pm lol. Like I said hard to put down! I highly recommend this book to newly married, seasoned married, and thinking of becoming married, or engaged because I can guarantee you will learn something in this book that will get you to your VERTICAL Marriage .
